Obituary

Arlene F. Stucker, 92, of Pulaski, passed away on Thursday, May 7. She was born on September 2, 1933, to Edward and Goldie (White) Vandenplas.

Arlene grew up in Pulaski and graduated from Pulaski High School. She began her career managing the sales floor at Seagal's Mercantile, a position she held until the age of 40. She later pursued her entrepreneurial spirit by opening and operating three small clothing stores, which she owned until her retirement.

In retirement, Arlene devoted much of her time to quilting and was an active member of four quilt guilds, including Warmth from the Heart. Among her many creations were the quilts used as a backdrops for the stage at Mielke Theater in Shawano for the old-time music festival. Arlene also enjoyed cooking and was an avid card player.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Lori Stucker; nieces: Debbie (Marv) Niec and Darlene (Jim) Hillier.
