Beth A. Hansen, 60, Sobieski, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 24, 2025, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. The daughter of Mahlon and Lucille (Born) Prokopovitz was born in Green Bay on March 4, 1964.
Growing up, Beth (along with all her siblings) worked as a pickle shaker at The White Elevator. She enjoyed various other jobs throughout the years before becoming a paraprofessional for the Pulaski School District.
On October 12, 1985, Beth married Mark Hansen at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski. She enjoyed beach vacations, cooking, in addition to attending and dancing at Pulaski Polka Days. Beth was a very social person and would talk to anyone and everyone. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and was so proud of her many nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her husband of over 39 years, Mark; two children: Cora Hansen (significant other, Andrew Mans); and Logan (Hana) Hansen; four grandchildren: Zach, Kyler, Palmer, and Saylor; eight siblings: James Prokopovitz, Susan Karcz, Peter Prokopovitz, Mary (Tom) Holewinski, Ann (Gregg) Mroczynski, Jane (John "Beau") Nowak, Laura Johnson, and Amy (Neal) Holewinski; her mother-in-law, Anita "Grandma Snazzy" Hansen; a brother-in-law, Charles Hansen (significant other, Sue); two sisters-in-law: Nancy (Tom) Jagodinski and Judy (Terry) Hanstedt; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ervin Hansen; two brothers-in-law: Mark Johnson and Melvin Karcz; and a sister-in-law, Connie Hansen.
A Celebration of Beth's life will be held at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Thursday, January 30, from 4-7 p.m.
The family would like to thank the nurses in the TICU at Froedtert Hospital for the great care given to Beth.
