Betty Ann Boatman, age 85, passed away peacefully at a local hospital on January 24, 2026, following a short illness. She was born on February 18, 1940, to Erma Lade and Anthony Slezewski.
Betty Ann began her first career as a ballroom dance instructor in West Palm Beach, FL. After returning to Wisconsin, she worked in a variety of roles, including hosting at the Downtowner Motel, managing at KFC, working at the employment office, and managing Craig's Restaurant alongside her son.
In 1990, Betty Ann dedicated her time to working with battered women and individuals experiencing homelessness in Green Bay. From 1971 to 1972, she and her husband, John, served WI House Representative Alvin O'Konski in Washington, D.C.
She is survived by her son, Craig (Julie) Curtiss; her brother, Dennis Stockwell; her aunt, Marian Kroll; and many beloved cousins, friends, and other relatives.
A Celebration of Betty Ann's Life will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at St. Francis Hall (the basement of Assumption B.V.M. Church), located at 119 E. Pulaski Street, Pulaski.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Michael Slezewski for his assistance, and to dear friends Barb Ferfecki and Suzie Jaworski for their unwavering support and friendship to Betty Ann over the years.
