Bonnie Mae Haas, 79, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Homme Home Assisted Living facility, Wittenberg. The daughter of Arthur and Mae (Pockat) Watters was born, October 6, 1943, in the township of Seneca.
Bonnie grew up in Weasel Dam and graduated from Tigerton High School. She married Clifford Haas and moved to Merrill; they later divorced, she sold the house and moved back to Weasel Dam. Bonnie worked at Wausau Insurance (later Liberty Mutual) with perfect attendance for 46 years until her retirement. After retirement, she worked part-time at Nueske's Meat Market in Wittenberg.
Bonnie was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Caroline and often sang in the church choir. She was an avid fan of the Tilleda baseball team, attending games on Sundays. She enjoyed traveling with friends and deer hunting. She loved feeding the birds and her cats were her family.
Survivors include a brother, Larry (Mary) Watters; nieces and nephews: Deborah (Mike) Bohm, Dennis (Madge) Watters, Dean (Kristi) Watters, Tom (Terry) Watters, Troy (Jodi) Watters, Tammy Watters, Tracy (Terry) Christenson, Travis (Nancy) Watters, and Todd (Lisa) Watters; and her sister-in-law, Laurie Watters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mae; her brother, Eugene Watters; a sister-in-law, Annabelle Watters; and a great nephew, Alexander Watters.
Friends are invited to gather with family at Zion Lutheran Church, W12804 County Road M, Caroline, on Friday, April 21, from 9-11 a.m. The Funeral Service will take place at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim Foltz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
