Obituary

Brandy Jo Pryes, 52, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully Sunday night at St. Vincent hospital after a tough battle with cancer. The daughter of John Pryes and Terry (Dale) Mills was born May 18, 1974, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Brandy graduated from Pulaski High School in 1992. Following graduation, she worked at Carver Yachts and took classes at NWTC. Brandy welcomed her daughter Ashley into the world in February 1996, and they have been inseparable ever since. After Carver she worked for Shopko at the Military store until they closed in 2019. She has been at the Pulaski Shell/True North ever since. Brandy has always had a love for animals, loved being on the farm, and had thought about becoming a vet when she was young. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, going to Summer Twister, and playing games when the family got together.

Brandy is survived by her daughter, Ashley; her parents John Pryes and Terry (Dale) Mills;  her siblings: Jake (Linda) Mills, Greg (Connie) Mills, Tracy (Bob) Grzeskowiak, Crystal (Aaron) Johnson, Keith (Kristi) Mills, Kim (Nevin Sr) Mills, Karen Mills-Booher, Skye (Chris) Caldie, and Stephanie (Chris) Kuchta; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Mills.

A Celebration of Brandy's Life will be held at the Pulaski American Legion Hall, 135 N. St. Augustine St., Pulaski, from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 14.

We would like to thank the teams at St Vincent Hospital, Froedtert Hospital, and Kathy's House for the time and care they showed for Brandy during her battle with lymphoma.
