Chester L Kozlowski passed away on March 5, 2026. Born February 9, 1926, to Anton Kozlowski and Frances (Banaszynski) in the town of Angelica, WI.
Chester graduated from Pulaski High School in 1943. January of 1944, at the age of 17 he enlisted in the US Navy. He served 16 months in the Pacific theatre as a hospital corpsman. He was discharged in May of 1946 as a Pharmacist 3rd class. He married Lorraine (Wesolowski) on October 2, 1948, at Ss. Edward and Isadore in Flintville, WI.
After their marriage they moved and lived in Milwaukee for 40 years until retirement. Following retirement, they split their time between Townsend, WI and Las Vegas, NV for 15 years before spending their final years in Pulaski, WI. Chester loved to travel including five cruises, Europe, Hawaii, and Alaska.
Chester is survived by his children: Diana (Robert Grosskreuz), New Berlin, WI, Sandra (Patrick McElrone) Greenfield, WI, Bruce (Debra) Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, Brian (Mary) Virginia Beach, Virginia; nine grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren; brother Ray Kozlowski, Pulaski, WI; sisters- in-law, Elaine (Wayne Everson) Suamico, WI, Geraldine Wesolowski, Green Bay, WI, Marcy Burger, Georgia; and cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Preceding him in death were his beloved wife Lorraine of 73 years; his parents, Anton and Frances; daughter, Kathleen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Alvin(Piney) and Elenore Kozlowski, Norbert and JoAnn Kozlowski, Rita and Robert Ratz, Helen Kozlowski, Mary and Dale Keuken, Shirley and Melvin Lewis, Lawrence Wesolowski, Larry Burger; and mother and father in law Florence and Albert Wesolowski.
Friends are invited to gather with family at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Saturday, March 14 from 9-11 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. Bill Rooney, O.F.M. presiding. Military honors rendered by the Pulaski Area Veterans will follow at the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
