Obituary

Dennis Karcz, a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024. The son of Peter and Esther (Nowak) Karcz was born on May 3, 1947, in Green Bay.

On November 8, 1969, he married Linda Robaidek at Assumption B.V.M. Church. Dennis worked in the financial loan industry, assisting farmers and small businesses in Northeastern Wisconsin. A lifelong dairy farmer himself, Dennis was passionate about his work and took great pride in his crops and animals. Rain showers that nourished his corn and soybean crops always brought a smile to his face. He loved the smell of fresh-cut alfalfa and the satisfaction of turning dirt over after a successfully harvested crop.

Beyond his farming pursuits, Dennis was a dedicated Wisconsin sports fan and a keen observer of college basketball, which prepared him for March Madness. He cherished the time he spent with his family sharing stories and creating lasting memories. He always wanted to know what was happening with his kids, what activities or life events the grandkids were involved in, or how his great grandson was doing. He truly enjoyed playing cards with family and especially the card group of friends.

A lifelong learner, Dennis enjoyed reading financial newspapers, watching the markets, and listening to financial analysts. His chair was always within reach of his notes, letters, papers, and company prospectuses.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Linda; three children: Todd (Lisa) Karcz, Chadd (Nikkie) Karcz, and Joelle (Kurt) Holewinski; his grandchildren: Katelyn (fiancé Ross Smith) Karcz, Peter (fiancée Emery Podowicz) Karcz, Amber (Liam) Lee, Cole (fiancée Olivia Hammerschmidt) Karcz, Cade Karcz, Julia Burdeau, Danika Holewinski, and Dixon Holewinski; a great grandson, Jamison Oliver; siblings: Dewey (Elaine) Karcz, Bonnie Chlopek, Darlene (Craig) Garbrecht, Shirley (Pat) Kapla, and Janice (Terry) Cayemberg; sisters-in-law: Robyn Karcz, Judy (Robert) Dombrowski, Janet Robaidek; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.

In addition to his parents, Peter and Esther, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Karcz Sr.; brothers-in-law: Charlie Chlopek, Mike Sikorski, Wayne Robaidek, and Alvin Robaidek.

Friends are invited to gather with the family at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Tuesday, August 27, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon with Fr. James Vacco, O.F.M. presiding. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
