Obituary

Diane R. Wichlacz, 89, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Rennes Nursing Home in De Pere. She was born on August 24, 1936, in Green Bay to the late Frank and Eleanor (Jarosinski) Staszak.

Diane graduated from Pulaski High School in 1954. On October 13, 1956, she married Frank L. Wichlacz at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski. While she devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mother, Diane also worked tirelessly from home as if it were a full-time job. She babysat, served as a Cub Scout and Brownie leader, helped at a local grocery store, and enjoyed crafting. Over the years, she sold playhouse toys and Avon products, continuing her work until her retirement at the age of 82.

Diane found joy in simple pleasures, including occasional trips to the casino, word search puzzles, and listening to polka and country music. She generously gave her time volunteering for many years with Pulaski Polka Days and assisting at Brookdale Apartments.

She is survived by her son, Alan Wichlacz; her daughter, Jean (Bob) Pyle; and her grandchildren: Justin Wichlacz, Kai Pyle, Shannon (Eddie) McKelligett, and Kimberly (Matt) McGrath; a great-granddaughter, Cassidy Mcgrath. She is further survived by her brother, Robert Staszak; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Norbert Mroczynski, Sandy Staszak, Carol Staszak, Pat Wichlacz, Carmen Wichlacz, and Bernice Wichlacz; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank L. Wichlacz; her parents, Frank and Eleanor Staszak; her son, Randy Wichlacz; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Sophie Wichlacz; her daughter-in-law, Kaye Wichlacz; her sisters, Laura Mroczynski and Nancy (Mel) DeGrave; her brothers, Ronald and Donald Staszak; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Luann Staszak, Fred Wichlacz, Leonard Wichlacz, Norbert Wichlacz, and Robert (Dorothy) Wichlacz.
