Obituary

Dorothy S. Styczynski, 86, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at her home. The daughter of Frank and Helen (Kaczmarowski) Kurzawa was born on May 15, 1940.

On October 17, 1959, she married Richard Styczynski at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski. A lifelong resident of Pulaski, Dorothy was very involved in her community and dedicated much of her life to serving others. She worked in Food Service for the Pulaski School System for more than 30 years. Dorothy also loved cooking and especially enjoyed preparing meals for her family.

Dorothy was a devoted member of the Pulaski American Legion Auxiliary Post 337, where she served as Auxiliary President and Chaplain for many years. She also served as president of the PLAV Auxiliary until the organization dissolved.

Dorothy was a passionate volunteer, generously giving her time to area veterans' homes and nursing homes. She enjoyed making blankets for residents and spending time visiting with them, brightening their days through playing bingo, singing, and conversation.

Dorothy was a longtime member of Assumption B.V.M. Church, where she served as a lay minister for many years. She also cooked breakfast for the friars for several years.

She especially looked forward to Friday mornings spent with the ladies enjoying coffee, sweets, and friendship. Those mornings were so important to her that she would often schedule appointments around them.

Above all, spending time with her family meant everything to Dorothy. She had a love for collecting chicken decor, and they could be found throughout her home and scattered among the flowers in her gardens.

Survivors include a son, James (Sandra) Styczynski, Pulaski; three daughters: Joan (John) Timm, Gillett, Jean (John) Siolka, Pulaski, and Jill Styczynski, Suamico; grandchildren: Adam (Ashlee) Styczynski, Rebecca (Andrew) Lefevre, Danielle Timm (fiancé, Paul Dwyer), Jacob Timm, Ashley (Kevin) Mach, Brittany (Jeremy) Backus, and Andrew (Cassandra) Siolka; great-grandchildren: Caleb, Aiden, Brynlee, Daniel, Connor, Braxton, Reese, and Maverick; step-great-grandchildren: Alex, Abby, and Anna; a brother-in-law, Leonard (Marian) Styczynski; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Styczynski; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.
