Douglas L. Kornaus, 72, Pulaski, passed away following a short illness on Friday morning, February 28, 2025, at a Green Bay hospital. The son of the late Leonard and Doris (Banaszynski) Kornaus was born October 22, 1952, in the Town of Maple Grove and was a 1970 graduate of Pulaski High School.

It was at a high school dance that Doug met the love of his life, Mona Wilcox. They were married on November 18, 1972. Doug and Mona farmed in the Town of Maple Grove until 1999, and then raised beef cattle for several years. Doug enjoyed having something to do and managed to keep himself busy, even after retirement. The couple moved to Pulaski in 2013, where Doug was happy to be on the edge of town. He was still able to watch wildlife and crop work in the fields just across the street. He was a good and considerate neighbor.

After retiring, he and Mona spent pretty much every moment together and loved each other's company. They enjoyed trips to Florida, Nashville, and Alabama. He always told his family how much he loved them, and was grateful for the love and care he received from them. Doug was also a jokester, right up to the very end. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife, Mona, Doug is survived by the couple's two daughters: Maggie Kornaus and Danielle "Danny" (Dean) DeKeyser; and one son, Travis (Tarah) Kornaus; seven grandchildren: Gianna Kornaus, Gracie and Olivia DeKeyser, and Myles, Kaylee, Morgan, and Hudson Kornaus. He is further survived by Mona's siblings: Ralph Jr. (Marilyn) Wilcox, Roy (JoAnn) Wilcox, Jim Wojkiewicz (Georgia), Wayne Wilcox (Joyce), Roxann Zuleger (Guy), Gordy (Karen) Wilcox, Pete (Sandi) Wilcox, and Rhonda (Don) Matuszak; the family dog, Oliver; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Lenny, Rick, and Mike Kornaus; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ralph Sr. and June Wilcox; two sisters-in-law: Robin Wojkiewicz and Mary Wilcox; and two nephews: Aaron and Jeremy Zuleger.

The family is respecting Doug's wishes to not have a public funeral and will have a private celebration of his life at a later date.
