Duane F. Batchelor, 64, of Little Suamico, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at a local hospital. The son of Louis and Margaret (Lawrence) Grell was born on February 10, 1962, in Dodgeville, WI.
Duane grew up in Plano, IL, and graduated from Plano High School. Following high school, he graduated from Waubonsee Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. He worked for a short time as a police officer in Illinois before moving his family to Northeastern Wisconsin to farm.
After farming, Duane became a manager at Carver Yacht in Pulaski where his career spanned over 16 years. Duane’s career also included selling insurance and working for Aurora Hospital in the scheduling department.
Duane was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Bulls. When his children were younger, they enjoyed taking family camping and fishing trips. Duane also enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting with his son, Justin, and taking hunting trips out West with his good friend, Larry. Duane cherished the time spent outdoors with family and friends.
Survivors include his first wife, Ada Brazeau and their children: Justin (Meggie) Batchelor, Denise (Mahmoud “Gabo”) Gaballa, and Amber Batchelor; his longtime partner, Carla Delzer and their children: Megan Batchelor, Heidi (Matt) Bukowiec, and Tyler Christensen; grandchildren: Grace, Philip, Payton, Alexander, Nour, Noah, Lily, Isabella, and Jordan; his father, Louis Grell; two brothers: Bruce (Dena) Batchelor and Mike (Lisa) Batchelor; sister, Theresa Jensen; aunt, Lucy Hill; uncle, Delbert Lawrence; and nieces and nephews: Heather, Amy, Bruce Jr., Patrick, Amanda, Kyle and Jeanifer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Grell; nephew, Jeremy Batchelor; and great-grandmother, Marie Lawrence.
Friends are invited to gather with family at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon when a time for memory sharing will take place.
