Obituary

Eleanor "Grandma" B. Babiarz, 101, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Grancare Nursing Home, Green Bay. The daughter of Joseph and Pearl (Gierczak) Rodgers was born on March 29, 1924.

Eleanor grew up on the family farm outside of Pulaski. On September 8, 1945, Eleanor married Michael Babiarz at Assumption B.V.M. Church.  Together, the couple farmed side by side for many years.

Eleanor was a wonderful mother and grandmother; she loved babysitting her grandchildren and loved having Sunday meals with the family. In addition, she enjoyed gardening, baking, and cooking. She was very devout in her faith and was a lifetime member of Assumption B.V.M. Church.

Survivors include five children: James (Patti) Babiarz, Florida, Mark (Laurie) Babiarz, Sobieski, Barbara (Ron) Miller, Green Bay, Lynn (Keith) Chambers, Pulaski, and Kathy (Dave) Panure, Green Bay; a daughter-in-law, Sandi Babiarz, Florida; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Michael and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Robert and infant son, Ronald; two brothers: Dick and Ray; three sisters: Evelyn, Irene and Joan.

Friends are invited to gather with family at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Tuesday, December 16, from 9-11 a.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. James Vacco, O.F.M. presiding. Entombment will take place in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.

The family would like to thank the staff at Grancare Nursing Home and the Unity Hospice Team for the compassionate care given to Eleanor.
