Obituary

Elise M. Schuh, 72, Town of Pittsfield, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, January 15, 2024, at a local hospital. The daughter of James "Bud" and Bernice (Bajorek) McDermid was born September 27, 1951, in Green Bay.

Elise grew up in the Pulaski area and graduated from Pulaski High School with the class of 1969. She married her high school sweetheart, Roger Schuh, on January 24, 1970, at Ss. Edward and Isidore Church in Flintville. The couple settled in the Town of Pittsfield where they farmed their 80 acres.

Elise was a wonderful homemaker and mom and was always there for her children. She was a lifelong member of Ss. Edward and Isidore Parish and belonged to the Altar Rosary Society. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling. She also enjoyed gardening, decorating the house, cooking, reading, watching birds, and visiting friends. Elise was always one to watch a crime drama on tv. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Elise is survived by her husband, Roger; four children: Arnie Schuh (special friend, Darlia Mroczkowski), Green Bay, Chris (Christie) Schuh, Sevastopol, Stacy (Eric) Rasmussen, Green Bay, and Matt (Jenny) Schuh, Green Bay; her grandchildren: Molly, Lindsay, and Logan Schuh, Nick and Amelia Rasmussen, Mason Hernandez, Morgan, Madison, and Maggie Schuh. She is further survived by her mother, Bernice McDermid, Pulaski; sister, Pam (Randy) Lawniczak, Krakow; brothers: Bruce (Linda) McDermid, Pulaski, Dale (Karen) McDermid, Green Bay, Gary McDermid, Pulaski, and Steve (Connie) McDermid, Seymour; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: William Strojny, Green Bay, Mary (James) DeFrance, De Pere, David (Margaret) Schuh, Cecil, JoAnne (James) Reimer, Green Bay, Martin (Jo Ann) Schuh, Burke, VA, Linda (James) Krouse, Green Bay, Bonnie (Earl) Spencer, Green Bay, and Joyce (Ollie) Kabara, Pulaski; and many nieces, nephews, and other friends and family.

In addition to her father James, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Laura Lynn Schuh; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clem and Lucille Schuh; sister-in-law, Lucille Strojny; brothers-in-law: Frank Schuh and Tom LaCount; her niece, Gina Tristani; nephew, Greg Tilly; and special neighbors, Earl and Ann Steinbrecher.

Friends are invited to gather with family at Ss. Edward and Isidore Church, 3667 Flintville Rd., (Flintville) Suamico, on Wednesday, January 24, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon with Fr. David Hoffman presiding.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to the attentive ICU staff at Bellin Hospital.
