Frank Pomprowitz
Jr.
Mar 24, 1944 — Dec 28, 2024
Frank "Frankie" J. Pomprowitz Jr., 80, of Sobieski, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, at his home. The son of Frank Sr. and Stella (Revolinski) Pomprowitz was born on March 24, 1944.
Frankie was a lifelong Sobieski resident and graduated from Pulaski High School with the class of 1962. His father served as an essential part in the Little Suamico Fire Department in purchasing the department's first fire truck; Frankie later joined the fire department himself. Following in his father's footsteps, Frankie was a service provider to farmers, small businesses, and homeowners.
Together Frankie and his dad picked pickles, worked the land for local farmers, cut brush in the ditches for the town, and hauled cattle locally. Frankie picked and hauled sweet corn for several local canning factories. Frankie ran the town dump and surrounding communities' recycling centers. He offered door to door garbage pick-up along with dumpster rentals. He plowed snow for local businesses and townspeople for years. He also ground waste wood, sold landscaping materials, hauled logs, and had several dump trucks over the years. Frankie's roots ran deep in his community and his roots were embedded as a service provider.
Frankie enjoyed polka bands and polka music very much. He loved the sound of a good sounding motor driving down the road. A people person at heart, he thoroughly enjoyed other people's company: BS'ing with people is what he loved the most and he was very good at it.
Survivors include his two children: Sara (Bill) Seiltz and Michael (Jolene) Pomprowitz; two stepsons: Kevin Waskowiak and Brian (Tiffany) Waskowiak; seven grandchildren: Zac (Liz) Seiltz, Heather (Cody) VanGheem, Hayley Seiltz, Jacob Seiltz, Jaxton Pomprowitz, Hank Waskowiak, and Lola Waskowiak; five great-grandchildren: Brantley, Sawyer, Tucker, Eleanore, Emmareen; and cousin, Karen Ronsman (Jim DeGreef).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Stella, and aunts and uncles.
Friends are invited to gather at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Friday, January 3, from 4-7 p.m. with a parish wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 6051 Noble St., Sobieski, on Saturday, from 9-11 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. Antonio de los Santos presiding and Fr. James Esser, O.F.M. concelebrating. Burial will follow in St. John Cantius Cemetery, Sobieski.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to St. Maximilian Church for resurfacing the parking lot.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many employees, close friends, and townspeople who supported Frankie over the years. He loved and appreciated you.
