Gary C. McMorran, fondly known as "Swampy" to friends and family, 67, of Sobieski, died at his home on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. The son of Phillip McMorran and Kathy Westwood was born on August 6, 1957, in New Hampshire.
Gary was a United States Army Veteran and served in Ft. Hood, TX. He worked at Wisconsin Public Service at the Pulliam Plant in Green Bay for over 37 years until his retirement.
His hobbies include working on cars, Jeeps, model building, reading, music- especially classic rock, and watching movies. Gary was a creature of habit; he was the strong and silent type.
Survivors include his two children: Ferron (Amy) McMorran and Alysa McMorran; grandchildren: Skyler (Jessica) McMorran, Heavenlee Bowman (Chance Schultz), Kaeden Correll (Kayla Laakonen), Knox McMorran, Audrina Roskom, and Avery Roskom; three great-grandchildren; his mother, Kathy Westwood; four brothers: Wayne McMorran, Glenn McMorran, John (Mirella) McMorran, and Kerry Eckola; nieces: Holly McMorran, Randi (John) Schlitz, and Shelley (Bryan) Butler; and a nephew, Brock McMorran (McKinley Estime).
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Gary's Life at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Friday, December 20, from 3-6 p.m. Military honors rendered by the Pulaski Area Veterans will take place at 4 p.m.
