Geraldine (Jeri Foat) Meade, 84, Pulaski, passed away peacefully January 15, 2025, at Rennes Health and Rehab Center in De Pere. The daughter of Donald and Marguerite (Burkart) Holtfreter was born on March 7, 1940, in Woodstock, IL.

Jeri grew up in Woodstock and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School with the class of 1958. She married Arnold Foat on January 9, 1960, in Woodstock. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2000. In their younger years, the couple enjoyed square dancing in Harvard, Illinois. In 1975 Arnie and Jeri moved their family to a farm in Suring, WI.  Later, they moved to Gresham, Shawano and then Green Bay.  Jeri enjoyed playing cards, watching movies and doing puzzles. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up.

Jeri is survived by her five children: Steve Foat, Murfreesboro, TN, Anne (Marshall) Klein, Pulaski, WI, Susan Backhaus, De Pere, WI Bill (Sue) Foat, Capron, IL, and John Foat, Gilman, WI; grandchildren: Jeff (Michelle) Goodwill, Kimberly (Robby) Schlafke, Zachary (Jenni Jadin) Klein, Ryan (Megan) Foat, Dustin (Becca) Foat, Crystal (Matt Vandenplas) Backhaus, Katie Backhaus (special friend, Casey Mackin), Elizabeth (James) Tevis, Amanda Irvin; great-grandchildren: Weston Schlafke, Lucas Schlafke, Joshua Schlafke, Tyler Goodwill, Kcee Foat, Evan Tevis, Eli Tevis,  Scarlitt Vandenplas, Dakota Irvin, and Kaylee Irvin. She is further survived by a brother, Larry (Arlene) Holtfreter; a sister, Mary Lou Collier, a sister-in-law, Phyllis Foat; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her husband, Arnold, and parents, Donald and Marguerite, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Floyd and Adeline (Feuerhammer) Foat; three brothers-in-law: Harold Foat, Donald Foat, and Harold Collier; sister-in-law, Shirley Shafer; and special friend Glenn Meade.

Friends are invited to gather at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Thursday, January 23, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in McHenry Memorial Park, Woodstock, IL on Friday, January 24, at 12 noon.
