Gracelyn
Wilcox
Apr 29, 2024 — Jul 19, 2025
Gracelyn Hazel Wilcox, who was named for the goodness of God, went home to heaven on July 19, 2025. She was born on April 29th, 2024, in Green Bay, WI. Gracie suffered with an extremely rare genetic condition called Sandhoff Disease and though she was lent to us on earth for only a short time, she impacted many lives and had undeniable purpose.
Gracie truly lived a life full of love, joy, wonder, and the kind of moments that become treasured memories. In her short time on this earth, she checked off bucket list adventures, shared laughter and snuggles, and wrapped our hearts in the purest kind of love. We captured it all—the photos, the videos, and the sacred, fleeting moments of her beautiful life.
Though she never spoke a word, Gracie's spirit spoke volumes. Her smile lit up every room, and her presence left an imprint on every heart she touched. She adored the water, found comfort in her beloved pacifier, and shared a bond beyond words with her built-in best friend and big brother, Jack.
More than anything, Gracie's journey was a testimony of faith. Her life and journey drew others closer to God, and the stories of how she inspired renewed belief and deeper trust in Him will live on forever in our hearts.
Thank you—truly—to the community that embraced her, uplifted her, and loved her alongside us. We are so grateful.
Welcoming Gracie into paradise with open arms are her great grandparents, Ida VandenLangenberg, Leonard and Florence Van Lannen, and Ralph and June Wilcox.
Gracie will be remembered forever by her parents, Josh and Rachel Wilcox; older brother, Jack Wilcox; grandparents: Steven and Lisa Slusarek and Gordy and Karen Wilcox; great grandparents, Ed and Jean Slusarek and Ray VandenLangenberg; aunts and uncles: Sara and Joe Bonkowski, Brian Slusarek (Godfather), Jen Wilcox (Godmother) and Jake Wilcox; and her cousins Juliana, Rosaleigh, and Isla.
A private family Funeral Mass will be held for Gracie at Assumption B.V.M. Church, Pulaski. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
We want to extend the biggest thanks and the utmost gratitude to Dr. Gina Lewis of Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee and Dr. Ashley Flannery of Bellin in Green Bay, who have cried with us and held our hands through every step of this journey. We cannot thank you enough for your kindness and expertise, and your deep care for our Gracie.
We also want to extend further thanks to the Brady Wynn Foundation, Thursday's Child Wisconsin, Unity Hospice, Jeff at Marnocha Funeral Home and NTSAD for all of their support and assistance.
The Lord said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
