James
Stachura
May 19, 1942 — Mar 25, 2025
James J. Stachura, 82, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on May 19, 1942, to Walter and Lucille (Kaczmarowski) Stachura, Jim was the eldest of their seven children. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1960 and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a mechanic. Stationed in England for four years, it was there that he met his first love, Patricia. The couple wed and were blessed with three children: Alice, Scott, and Jason. After his honorable discharge, Jim and Pat returned to Pulaski and built his forever home on the same cherished farmland where he was raised. After 19 years of marriage, Patricia was diagnosed with breast cancer and passed away a year later.
Through his sorrow, Jim's faith never wavered — he clung to God, trusting in His plan.
A few months later; he was set up on a date by Fr Regis and that's how he met Angela Parker, a single mother of four young children: Chris, Gina, Maria, and Sam. Jim and Angela fell in love wed and were blessed with three more children: Julie, Jackie, and Jimmy "Regis". A blended family with 10 kids total, "yours mine and ours". Jim and Angela kept God at the center of their lives.
After 33 years of marriage, Angela was diagnosed with stomach cancer and passed away a year later. Once again Jim leaned on his faith to get him through.
But God, in His goodness, was not done writing Jim's love story. One year later, Jim met Rosalyn Maas, who would become his third love and cherished wife. They were blessed with over six beautiful years of companionship and joy, making memories and sharing laughter. They delighted in traveling together and exploring new places and making memories in Florida, Arizona, Palm Springs, and beyond. They even wore matching Hawaiian shirts on vacation.
As Jim would often say, they were "livin' the dream."
At the heart of Jim's life was his profound love for God. A devout Catholic, he was a constant presence at Assumption B.V.M. Church, faithfully attending daily Mass and receiving the Eucharist. His faith was his guiding light, and through every season of joy and sorrow, Jim's trust in God's love never faltered.
Jim dedicated over 33 years to his career as a sales agent for the Knights of Columbus, often earning recognition as a top agent. Beyond his work, he gave generously of his time and heart, serving on the Pulaski Polka Days committee and remaining active in the local VFW.
Though his accomplishments were many, Jim found his truest joy in the simple, everyday moments. He loved working outdoors, cutting grass, shoveling snow, and tending to his garden. He found peace in the stillness of nature, whether hunting turkey or deer and taking leisurely walks and forest bathing as he would call it. Jim especially treasured his morning breakfasts with his brother, Tom, often followed by a good drive — just to see where the road might take them. But above all, Jim's greatest pride was his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosalyn; his children: Alice Stachura, Scott (Autumn) Stachura, Jason (Courtney) Stachura, Maj. Christopher (Trudy) Stachura, Gina Stachura, Maria (Matthew) Catalano, Sam Stachura, Julie (Luke) Nelson, and Jackie (Mike) Kordiyak; 45 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Walter Jr. (Rosie) Stachura, Pattie (Jim) Mroczkowski, Tom Stachura, Donna (Bob) Golik, Marcia Stachura, and Mike (Kathy) Stachura. He will also be missed by his many many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was welcomed into eternal life by his first two wives, Patricia and Angela; his beloved parents; his son, Jimmy Stachura; and his sister-in-law, Debbie Stachura.
Visitation will be held at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E.
