Janet L. Yanda, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the age of 97. The daughter of Edward and Anna (Holub) Wollak was born November 23, 1925, in Denmark, WI.

In 1946 Janet married Clarence Yanda. Shortly after their wedding she and Clarence, known as "Mousie," purchased the Owls Club Tavern in Algoma where Janet will always be remembered for serving one of the best perch plates on Fridays and the chicken and dumpling dinners on Sundays. After they sold the Owls Club, Janet cooked at Algoma Memorial Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed all types of crafts, especially crocheting caps for the homeless, cancer patients, and her family.

Janet is survived by her children: Diane (Tom) Moore, David (Kathy) Yanda, Mary (Frank) Moore, and Mike (Katherine) Yanda; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild on the way; two sisters; and nieces, nephews, and other family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; parents, Edward and Anna; and a sister, Dolores Lowe.

Per Janet's request, private services and entombment will be held at Nicolet Memorial Gardens, Green Bay.
