Obituary

John M. Dalebroux, 83, Sobieski, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026. He was born on May 25, 1943, in Green Bay to the late Michael and Helen (Schultz) Dalebroux. John was attended Preble High School in Green Bay. After high school, John enlisted in the Unted States Marine Corps in 1965. John served in the Vietnam War and received numerous medals and commendations. He was honorably discharged in 1968. On October 18, 1976, he married Joann Jarek in Las Vegas, Nevada.

John worked as a truck driver for various companies in the Green Bay area before being employed at Schneider National. He worked at Schneider for 20 years until his retirement. During his time at Schneider, he was inducted to the “Million Mile Club” for his dedication and exemplary safety record.

Outside of work, John loved spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed working on the various “toys” he had including his Harley Davidson motorcycle. In his younger years, he drove stock car at area racetracks. John liked spending time in the outdoors, from fishing in Canada, boating, cutting his grass, and working with Joann in her flower garden. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always willing to lend a helping hand. John will be forever loved and remembered.

He is survived by his wife, Joann; siblings, Sandra Benefield, Pat Cornell, Kathy (Bob) Matzke, Diane (Paul) Knaus, Luann (Pat) Rocheleau, Karen (Keith) Nielson, and Denise Dalebroux; his sisters-in-law, Margie (Rick) Bowden and Shirley Linsmeyer; good friends, Bob (Kathy) Linsmeyer; his nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, infant Jimmy Dalebroux, Danny Dalebroux, and Mary Cornell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Helen Jarek; and his brother-in-law, Billy Benefield.

Visitation will be held at the Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Full military honors will follow the service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.marnochafuneralhome.com
