Obituary

Larry Wiese, Pulaski, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 28, 1934, in Chicago, IL to the late Bruno and Esther (Roeder) Wiese.

On May 11, 1957, Larry married Lorraine Lesniak in Chicago. Several years later, the couple moved to Wisconsin to raise their four children. Larry held several positions at Banta Digital in Menasha, eventually becoming plant manager. He worked there for over 25 years until his retirement in 1998.

Larry had a love for sports. You could find him weekly at the bowling alley, pitching for the men's softball team, or hitting a golf ball or two. When he wasn't participating, Larry was at his son, David's, basketball, football, and softball games. In his later years, he also loved watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren at their sporting events.

His other loves included: playing a few games at the local casino, playing Sheepshead with the family, "putzing" around the garage, lighting off fireworks, and just "shooting the shit", as his grandson Owen would say. Grandpa always made sure the candy dish was full and was happy to have visitors drop by anytime. Larry was a caring husband, loving father, and a very special grandpa. He will be sadly missed by so many. He was the most devoted, fun-loving person you could ever meet.

Larry is survived by his four children: Karen (Dave) Patza, Susan Karcz, Paul Wiese, and David (Carrie) Wiese; five grandchildren: Sarah Patza (Jed Reinke), Michael (Amanda) Patza, Emma Wiese, Ella Wiese, and Owen Wiese; two great-grandchildren: Chase Reinke (Grace Meyer) and Jacob Reinke; a sister-in-law, Joan Walgurski; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Lorraine, on June 20, 2008; his parents; a brother, Lloyd; sister, Ginny; and special friend, Ramona Hanke.

A celebration of Larry's life will be held at The Lumberyard Bar and Grill, 815 North St., Bonduel, on Saturday, May 11, from 2-6 PM. A private family burial will be held in Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery, Pulaski.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Bellin Hospital for their kindness.
