Obituary

Margaret Cecelia "Peg" Warden, 89, passed away peacefully at Tender Hearts Memory Care on Saturday, February 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Peg was born on June 3, 1936, in Nichols, New York, to James and Cecelia Terrell. She attended grade school and high school in Nichols NY, where she proudly played the trumpet in both her high school band and the Nichols City Band.

Following graduation, Peg attended the Robert Packer Hospital School of Nursing in Sayre, Pennsylvania, earning her Registered Nursing degree. She worked for several years as an RN at Robert Packer Hospital, dedicating herself to compassionate patient care.

Peg later joined the Amway family as an Independent Business Owner (IBO), a role she cherished for many years. She greatly enjoyed attending Amway functions and special events, particularly the Amway-sponsored cruises. Through Amway, Peg formed many lasting friendships, including a treasured friendship with Glenn and Pam Schoffler.

Peg married Robert Werty on September 5, 1959. Together they raised four children. Robert preceded her in death on September 26, 2008.

On May 10, 2010, Peg married Elbert "Skip" Rowls II, who passed away on October 12, 2013.

She later married Joseph Warden on May 22, 2014. Through this marriage, Peg inherited Joe's large and loving family, including his ten children and twenty-seven grandchildren, whom she warmly embraced as her own.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Joseph Warden; her daughters, Margaret Bauman and Barbara (Dave) Ross; sons-in-law Tim May and Fred Campbell; sister-in-law Val Terrell; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and Joe's children: Don (Rose), Paul (Aleta), Brian, Mark (Mel), Kay (Joe) Vandersteen, Amy Perdomo, Anne (Parker) Hansen, Fr. Michael, Steve (Kristin), and Dan (Katie), along with twenty-seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her previous husbands; her daughters, Mary Kay Campbell, and Anne May; and her brothers, Jim (Kathy) and Joe Terrell.

Friends are invited to gather with family on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 126 E. Pulaski Street, Pulaski, WI., from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., The  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Michael Warden presiding. Burial will take place at a later date.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Tender Hearts Memory Care for their compassionate care over the past two years, and a special thank you to St. Croix Hospice, especially Ava, for their loving support.
