Marjorie
Busch
Apr 11, 1926 — Oct 20, 2024
Marjorie Melinda Busch, 98, Town of Chase, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at her home. The daughter of Robert and Lena (Miller) Clark was born April 11, 1926, at home in Oneida.
Marjorie grew up in Oneida and graduated from Green Bay West High School. Following high school, she attended Normal School in Algoma, teaching briefly in Door County. Years later, while she raised her own children, she made an impact on countless numbers of young people while teaching full time in the Catholic parochial school system and later as a part time substitute teacher in the Pulaski School system.
Marjorie married Robert Busch on July 26, 1947, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oneida. Marjorie was a longtime member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish and was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
Marjorie enjoyed a good book. She also enjoyed baking, knitting, sewing, and tending to her many gardens. Her faith was very important to her and the genuineness she shared with others was a clear testament of that. Marjorie also loved spending time with her animals and in nature, especially taking walks in the hardwoods.
Survivors include her canine child, Chico, four children: Dan (Darlene) Busch, Suamico, Jerry "Benny" (Gail) Busch, Pittsfield, Chris (Lenny) Busch-Deneys, Oconto, and Jim Busch, Chase; six grandchildren: Melissa (Jeremy) Martinson, Andrew (William) Busch-Lowe, Becky (Aaron) Wright, Brenda Busch, Brent (Lori) Busch, and Jennifer Busch; eight great-grandchildren: Mitch Martinson, Olivia Martinson, Darcin Wright, Owen Wright, Evan Drake Busch-Lowe, Zane Busch, Arie Busch, and Brandon (Ashley) Busch; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to her husband, and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steve Busch; an infant great-granddaughter, Hana; three brothers: Ambrose (Ceil) Clark, Mark (Florence) Clark, and Larry (Laverne) Clark; and a sister, Rose (Dale) Simon.
Friends are invited to gather with family at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 6051 Noble St., Sobieski, on Monday, October 28, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon with Fr. Francis Nusi presiding. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Angelica.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to granddaughter Jennifer Busch for providing medical care for grandma during her last days and to Connie Norman for bringing her to church for many years and bringing her Communion for the past year. They would also like to thank the Unity Hospice Team for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Oconto Humane Society in Marjorie's name.
Online condolences may be offered to the Busch family at www.marnochafuneralhome.com or on the Marnocha Funeral Home Facebook page.
