Michael Hoppe, 73, Howard, and former resident of Pulaski passed away peacefully Sunday, July 20, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay. Mike was born on June 24, 1952, and was raised by Donald and Sophie Kraszewski, the only parents he ever knew.
After graduating from Pulaski High School in 1971, Mike went to UW-Oshkosh for a year and then enlisted in the US Air Force. He traveled the world three times and retired from active duty in 1993, with the rank of Master Sergeant. Mike then drove bus in the Pulaski School District for Zernicke Bus Lines and served several terms as the Howard Village Trustee.
Mike was passionate about his yard; it was always meticulous. He enjoyed spending time with his best friend from high school Dave Kubiak, going for breakfast with his friend John Hemmen, and travelling with his neighbor, Isaac Arcand. Mike also enjoyed a good broasted chicken dinner and loved his Cadillacs.
Survivors include his sisters: Barbara Owen and JoAnn (David) Buckarma; many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Sophie Kraszewski; sisters: Shirley (Roy) Stutzman, Audrey Suhm, and Linda Dillenberg; a brother, David Hoppe; and a brother-in-law, Morris Owen.
Friends are invited to gather at St. John the Baptist Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., Green Bay, on Thursday, July 24, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m. with Fr. James Lucas presiding. Military Honors rendered by the Pulaski Area Veterans will follow at the church. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.
A special thank you goes out to all the neighbors, family, and friends who looked after Mike, ran errands for him and helped with his outdoor chores; you are all greatly appreciated. Also, a heartfelt thank you to the 5 th floor staff at St. Mary's for the care and compassion given to him.
