Michael R. Walgurski, 56, Pulaski, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Shawano Health Services in Shawano with his daughter, Katelyn, at his side. The son of Richard and Joan (Lesniak) Walgurski was born December 6, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois.

Mike moved to Pulaski at an early age and was a 1985 graduate of Pulaski High School. After graduation he worked at Georgia Pacific as a paper machine operator. He also worked in maintenance at Pulaski High School, as a cabinet installer at Custom Laminating Specialists, and most recently again in maintenance for the Oconto Falls School District.

Mike was an exceptional athlete in his younger years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and landscaping. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and his granddaughter, Wren.

Survivors include his mother, Joan Walgurski; three children: Matthew Walgurski (Isabella De Cleene), Nathan (Jessie) Walgurski and their daughter, Wren, and Katelyn Walgurski (Maguire Girtz); the mother of their children, Colleen Walgurski; his three siblings: Dan (Debi) Walgurski, Joe (Carrie) Walgurski, and Mary Ellen (Craig) Freeman; and an uncle, Larry Wiese. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews: Lauren (Mac) Londo, Sidni Walgurski (Eli Kramer), Amy Walgurski, Amanda (Austin) Walgurski, Abby Walgurski, Caden Freeman (Caydance Rouleau), Alex Freeman, and Brady Freeman; several cousins, other family members, and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Richard; paternal grandparents, Walter and Katherine Walgurski; maternal grandparents, Albert and Mary Lesniak, two aunts: Irene (Bill) Peelor and Lorraine Wiese; and an uncle, Walter (Marge) Lesniak.

A Graveside Service will be held for Mike at Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery in Pulaski at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20th.

The family would like to thank Shawano Health Services and the Unity Hospice Team for the wonderful care given to Mike.
