Muriel
Klein
Sep 25, 1934 — Mar 31, 2026
Muriel Ann Klein, 91, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Grancare Nursing Center in Green Bay.
Muriel was born on September 25, 1934, in the Town of How, Wisconsin, to Herbert and Isabel (Gerndt) Gipp. She graduated from Gillett High School and went on to attend Marinette County Normal School for two years, where she earned her teaching certificate. Muriel began her career in education, teaching at Grignon, Cloverleaf, Bonduel, and Krakow schools.
Over the years, she also worked at Our Best Canning, Northern Shoe, Kelly Services, and for Dr. Gloria Krumrai. On August 24, 1957, she was united in marriage to Ralph Klein at the United Methodist Church in Suring.
Muriel was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Angelica, where she faithfully served as organist for over 52 years. She spent many years volunteering in the church as a Sunday school teacher, working at church suppers, and holding many officer positions.
She found great joy in reading, gardening, and listening to polka, gospel, and country western music. In addition to playing the organ in church, Muriel played for various celebrations and in numerous venues. She also played the accordion in a gospel group. Playing bingo and participating in other activities at the Pulaski Adult Activity Center was something she always enjoyed.
Survivors include her four children: Marshall (Anne) Klein, Randall Klein, Debra (Thomas) Melonja, and Gary Klein. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Jeff (Michelle) Goodwill; Kimberly (Robby) Schlafke; Zach (Jenni) Klein; Wren Melonja; Thomas Melonja; Kelsy Klein (special friend, Mikey Puliatchk); Ryan Vanden Berg; Christopher Vanden Berg (fiancé, Krystal Weise); Robin (Chad) Herlache; and Shawn Vanden Berg (fiancé, Bree). She is also survived by her brother, Curtis (JoAnne) Gipp; her son-in-law, Dennis Vanden Berg; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Klein; her parents, Herbert and Isabel Gipp; her children, Kelly Klein and Terry Vanden Berg; her brother, Larry (Carol) Gipp; and her sister-in-law, Dr. Gloria (Donald) Krumrai.
