Obituary

Nancy J. Wirtz, 72, Oconto Falls, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Monday, July 13, at St. Mary Hospital, Green Bay. The daughter of Joseph and Genevieve (Brusky) Sinclair was born on July 8, 1954, in Green Bay.

Nancy graduated from Pulaski High School with the Class of 1972. On November 8, 1997, she married Eugene Wirtz at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski.

Throughout her working years, Nancy was employed at Northern Shoe for three years, Carver Boat for 15 years, Pulaski State Bank for three years, Georgia-Pacific for 18 years, and Bay Tech for three years. In addition, she tended bar part-time for 15 years at Joe's Place, The Shuttle, and The Homestead.

Nancy was an avid bowler who also enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and friends. She had a special love for polka music, especially the music of Chad Przybylski and the Polka Rhythms. Nancy also enjoyed playing the humstrum and was affectionately known as the "Humstrum Queen."

Survivors include her husband, Eugene; a daughter, Heidi (Neal) Christensen; step-daughter, Carrie Nole (special friend, Dan); grandsons: Rider Christensen (special friend, Claire) and Mason Christensen; step-grandchildren: Olivia Nole and Alec Nole; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bonnie Sinclair, Sandy Price, Mardell Wirtz, Roger Wirtz, David (Gail) Wirtz, Fran Stewart; Laurie (Gregg) Leanna, Kathy (Bob) Christianson, and Chuck (Lisa) Wirtz; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Joseph and Genevieve, she was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Audra Wirtz; father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Eleanor Wirtz; a brother, Jerry Sinclair Sr.; brothers-in-law: Bob Price and Jim Wirtz; and a sister-in-law, Rose Ann Wirtz.

Friends are invited to gather with family at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Friday, July 24, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m. with Fr. William Rooney, O.F.M. presiding. Burial will take place in Kunesh Cemetery.

Nancy's family would like to thank the entire 3 rd floor ICU staff, and the 5 th floor nurses at St. Mary's for the exceptional care given to her.
