Obituary

Norbert Siolka, 94, Green Bay/Pulaski, passed away peacefully, March 20, 2025, at Oak Park Place, Green Bay, surrounded by his family. The son of Frank and Victoria (Pochron) Siolka was born December 11, 1930. Norbert was a Pulaski High School graduate. On September 1, 1956, he married Mary Ann Wagner, they enjoyed 65 years of marriage until her passing in 2022.

Norb was a talented high school athlete, playing for Pulaski on the football, track, boxing, and basketball teams. After graduating, he joined the United States Air Force, where he served as a heavy equipment operator, reaching the rank of Buck Sergeant. Norb received additional training at vocational school and continued to an impressive career (38 years) at Procter & Gamble. A man who was hardworking and liked to stay busy, after retirement, Norb continued his career at JW Industries for 11 years.

He loved to garden and always shared his harvest with neighbors and friends. Always there to lend a helping hand, Norb would show up to help family members, friends, and neighbors with home improvement projects. He never let anything go to waste and often made stools and benches with scrap wood that he gifted to his family and friends. Norb loved to travel with his beloved wife, Mary Ann. In addition to special vacations, they made many trips around the Midwest to show up for the special events (including many home games) of their children and grandchildren.

A proud veteran, Norb continued his service as a member of the American Legion where he did whatever was needed, including marching at a Packer game. Norb was a man of deep faith who was active in his parish community. Anyone could spot the twinkle in his eye as he danced a polka, but it was brightest when he was looking at his beloved wife, Mary Ann.

Survivors include his five children: Karen (Dale) McDermid, Green Bay, Mary (Ed) Haupt, Holmen, Bob (Donna) Siolka, Holmen, Kathy (Larry) Pomerleau, Lake Zurich, IL, and Debby (Brian) Pasterski, Green Bay; his grandchildren: Taylor (Emma) Siolka, Michelle Pomerleau, Tony Haupt, Nicole Pomerleau, Natalie (Jake) Grimsled, Courtney (Chris) Brennan, Kylee (Travis) Kowalski, Madeleine (Jack) Kasprzak, Zachary Pasterski, Matthew Pasterski, and Ryan McDermid (fiancée, Caitlin). He is further survived by his great-grandchildren: Harper and Hudson Kowalski, Sunday and Otto Siolka, Jaden and Lyla Grimsled, and Graham Kasprzak; his brother, Frank (Barbara) Siolka and sister, Bernadine Torznik; sisters-in-law: Ethel Duhm, Sandy (Frank) Krummey, and Gwen Siolka; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
