Sr.” Buettner

Otto "Bing Sr." Orlo Buettner, 81, Krakow, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by family. He was born August 2, 1941, in Lebanon, Indiana to Wallace Sr. and Hazel (Bopp) Buettner. On December 30, 1961, he was united in marriage with his wife, Geraldine "Tina" Maloney.
Bing enjoyed working as a butcher for over 40 years at Armour's, Green Bay Dressed Beef, and Thompsons Meats. Bing also enjoyed the monthly breakfast get-togethers with the retirees from Armour's Meats. His favorite hobbies included wood working, racing, and "ottorizing" (also known as being able to fix anything with a roll of duct tape and a hammer).
Bing is survived by his six children; Lori (John) Berendsen, of Howard, Tammy Deutscher, of Pulaski, Bing (Barb) Buettner, of Krakow, Troy (Chris) Buettner, of Sobieski, Nicole Buettner, Krakow, and April Buettner of Seymour; 15 grandchildren: Benjamin (Courtney Komorowski) Berendsen, Tyler (Amanda) Berendsen, Hannah (Ashton) Canales, Brent (Amy) Deutscher, Ashley (Matt) Collison, Kayla (Jeff) Progrant, Josh Buettner, Jeremy (Holly) Buettner, Megan (Tom) Helgeson, Matthew (Sandra) Buettner, Lydia Kedzierski, Maxwell Kedzierski, Amy (Rob) Salesky, Erik (Erika) Berendsen, and Luìse Dalè; 27 great-grandchildren; two siblings: Itola "Babe" Stuart and Wallace Jr. "Sonny" (Frankie) Buettner, and in-laws; Lois Buettner, Fay Kuchta, Judy Simonar, John Maloney, Louis Kuchta, Barbara Shegonee, and his special friend, Sue Carriveau.
Bing was preceded in death by his wife; Tina, his parents; Wallace Sr. and Hazel; his step-father, Louis "Bug" Flauger; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ross and Alice (Sax) Maloney; his brothers: Clayton Buettner and Raymond Buettner; and in-laws; Richard Kuchta, Gwen Kuchta, Richard Simonar, Sandy Maloney, Gin Maloney, and beloved German Shepherd, Spike.
A Celebration of Bing's life will be held at the Pulaski American Legion, 135 N. St. Augustine St., Pulaski, on Friday, July 14, from 4-9 p.m.
