Apr 6, 1948 — Feb 18, 2026
Patricia A. Berg, 77, of Chase, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born on April 6, 1948, in Green Bay to Theodore and Agnes (Boehm) Amenson.
Pat grew up in Green Bay and graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1967. On August 26, 1972, she married Roger Berg at Bethel Lutheran Church in Gillett. The couple later renewed their vows at St. Casimir Church in Krakow. Roger preceded her in death on August 10, 2018.
Pat dedicated more than 33 years of service as a custodian with the Pulaski School District before retiring. She enjoyed reading, tending to her flower garden, feeding the crows, and caring for stray cats. Pat loved gathering for meals with family and friends and cherished time spent with her former coworkers. Above all, she treasured her role as "Gigi" and found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children: Scott Berg; Tera (Ryan) Kolbeck; and Aaron Berg. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kristin (James) Thomas, Alicia Berg, Aiden Kolbeck, and Hannah Kolbeck; and her great-grandchildren: Isabella, Liam, Wyatt, Brody, Braylin, and Braxton. Pat is further survived by six siblings: Barbara Preslaski; Joseph (Karen) Amenson; David (Jessica) Tingey-Blackbird; Linda Lax; John Amenson; and Cynthia (Curt) Frisque; her in-laws: Betty (Jerry) Chlebowski, Rita (Jerry) Wesolowski, and Roy (Julie) Berg; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her father- and mother-in-law, Alvin and Carrie Berg; her sister, Marcia Wertelusky; and her brothers-in-law, Dale Preslaski and Richard Lax.
Family and friends may gather on Monday, April 6, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir Church, 146 Park St., Krakow. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. James Esser, O.F.M., presiding. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
