Phillip “Flip”
Rosenberg
Jun 8, 1950 — Sep 25, 2024
On September 25, 2024, Phillip Erwin Rosenberg, 74, of Pulaski (South Chase) passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay. He was born to Erwin and Althea (Noster) Rosenberg on June 8, 1950.
Phil, known as "Flip" to many, was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in North Chase and was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Morgan. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1968. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army on January 9, 1969, and served until his honorable discharge on April 6, 1972.
When he was home on leave, he enjoyed riding his Harley; he was also very proud of his yellow El Camino. After his military discharge from the Army he was involved in a car accident, which left him wheelchair dependent for the rest of his 50 plus years of life. That never held him back; he still enjoyed life with his other wheelchair buddies. Phil worked as a professional counselor for the Veterans Administration in Milwaukee for over 30 years.
Phil was involved with the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Wisconsin Chapter. He participated in all the wheelchair games held in a different state every single year; except for the last two years. He enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers, gameshows and other sports while putting together his model cars. He also enjoyed his hunting trips and shooting trap with his brother, Scott.
Phil will be sadly missed by many who knew him. He is survived by two sisters: Sue (Dean) Calewarts, Oconto and Cindy Rosenberg, Waupun; two brothers: Bruce (Susan) Rosenberg, De Pere and Scott (Ann) Rosenberg, Little Suamico; brother-in-law, Jerry Druckrey; goddaughter/niece, Chanda (Jason) Betts; godson/nephew, Todd Druckrey (special friend, Tracey); and other nieces and nephews: Ted Druckrey (special friend, Amy), Jackie (Oveal) Foreman, Josh and Sean Calewarts, Sharon Burkart, Ashley (Adam) Snyder, Austin Rosenberg, Caprice Rosenberg, Hailey Rosenberg (special friend, Brendan) and Carly Rosenberg (special friend, Brett).
Phil was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Priscilla (Dill) Druckrey; grandparents, Dan and Agnes Rosenberg, and Charles and Alvina Noster.
Friends are invited to gather with family at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E Pulaski St., on Wednesday, Oct 2, from 4-7 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. John Lutheran Church, 3374 County Rd. C, Morgan, on Thursday from 9-11 a.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Pastor Katy Tomlanovich officiating. Military Honors rendered by the Pulaski Area Veterans will immediately follow. Burial will take place at a later time in the Town of Chase Cemetery.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all his previous and present caregivers. You made it possible for Phil to stay in his home. To the entire staff at St. Mary's Hospital, you gave us comfort. Thank you again to all.
