Richard
Styczynski
Dec 3, 1935 — Jan 10, 2026
Richard E. Styczynski, 90, of Pulaski, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Rennes Rehab in De Pere. The son of Leo and Agnes (Jarosinski) Styczynski was born on December 3, 1935, in the Town of Maple Grove.
On October 17, 1959, he married Dorothy Kurzawa at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski. Richard was employed for many years at Lindquist Machine and Tool. He worked as a crossing guard for the Village of Pulaski where he enjoyed all "his kids" and would wave to everyone going past. Richard served the Pulaski community as a past village board member and Chief of Pulaski Tri County Fire Department.
For over 40 years, Richard prepared the area for the deceased for their final resting place as a grave digger or, as he would call it, "Cemetery Landscaper." He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially spoiling his 11 great-grandchildren. Richard was a long-time member of Assumption B.V.M. Parish, where he served as an usher for many years. He loved listening to Polka music.
Richard proudly served his country as an SP3 (Specialist 3 rd Class) in the US Army from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1957. An active member of the Pulaski American Legion Post 337, he also served as a past Commander of the Krakow PLAV Post 178, a past State Commander of PLAV, and as a lieutenant for the Brown County Civil Defense. Richard could always be found honoring fallen veterans doing a military salute.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; son, James (Sandra) Styczynski, Pulaski; three daughters: Joan (John) Timm, Gillett, Jean (John) Siolka, Pulaski, and Jill Styczynski, Suamico; grandchildren: Adam (Ashlee) Styczynski, Rebecca (Andrew) Lefevre, Danielle Timm (fiancé, Paul Dwyer), Jacob Timm, Ashley (Kevin) Mach, Brittany (Jeremy) Backus, and Andrew (Cassandra) Siolka; great-grandchildren: Caleb, Aiden, Brynlee, Daniel, Connor, Braxton, Reese, and Maverick; step-great-grandchildren: Alex, Abby, and Anna; brother, Leonard (Marian) Styczynski; sister-in-law: Rosemary Styczynski (special friend, Donnie Hinkfus). He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Styczynski; brother, Chester Styczynski; sisters: Delores (Antone) Hylok and Evelyn (Florian) Strzelecki; and, Gertrude (John) Ryba.
Friends are invited to gather with family at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Thursday, January 15, from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. James Esser, O.F.M. presiding. Military honors rendered by the Pulaski Area Veterans will follow at the church. Burial will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery, Laney.
The family respectfully asks that no flowers be sent. Instead, donations will be given to a local organization that was special to Richard.
Richard's family would like to thank Visiting Angels, Cornerstone Home Health Care, and PRN Home Nurses for the care and compassion given to him.
