Obituary

Robert E. Holewinski, 84, Pulaski, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024. The son of Edward and Helen (Jaskolski) Holewinski was born at home, April 20, 1939, in Shawano.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Pulaski. He graduated from Pulaski High School with the class of 1957. He served in the United States Army from November 1, 1957, until his honorable discharge on August 12, 1960. Bob married Frances "Maude" Jenkins on April 22, 1961, at St. Stanislaus Church, Hofa Park.

Bob was a team leader then a plant manager for over 48 years at Carver Boat in Pulaski. In his younger years, Bob enjoyed working on the family farm. He was a member of the Pulaski American Legion Post #337, Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited, and a longtime member of Assumption B.V.M..An avid outdoorsman, Bob spent countless hours fishing salmon on Lake Michigan and enjoyed deer hunting with his family in Krakow. He also enjoyed playing Sheepshead and loved going to banquets. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and attending his grandchildren's various sporting events.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 63 years, Maude; four children: Kim (Todd) Jahnke, Shawano, Douglas (Renee) Holewinski, Pulaski, Brian (Kedra) Holewinski, Pulaski, and Kurt (Joelle) Holewinski, Pulaski; eight grandchildren: Wesley Jahnke, Rochelle (Ryan) Hoffman, Brandon (Meagan) Holewinski, Amber (Cory) Gauthier, Haiden Holewinski, Julia Burdeau, Danika Holewinski, and Dixon Holewinski, seven great-grandchildren; Jackson, Madelyn Evelyn, Boone, Laila, Adaline, and Eli; siblings: Pat Lasecki, Pulaski, Tom (Mary) Holewinski, Pulaski, Greg (Sue) Holewinski, Pewaukee, and Randall (Chris) Holewinski, Seymour; and a brother-in-law, Lewis Jenkins, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen and brothers-in-law: Ernie Lasecki, Wayne Jenkins, and George Jenkins.

Friends are invited to gather with family at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski on Thursday, March 14, from 4-7 p.m. with a parish wake service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday, from 9-11 a.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. James Esser, O.F.M. presiding. Military honors rendered by the Pulaski Area Veterans will immediately follow at the church. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hofa Park.
