Ronald "Ron" Eugene Gajewski, 88, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at County Villa Assisted Living, Pulaski. The son of Eugene and Martha (Homel) Gajewski was born on December 21, 1937.
Ron grew up in the Pulaski area and was a graduate of Pulaski High School. Following high school, he began working in maintenance at National Can Co. in Green Bay and worked there until his retirement in 1995.
On December 26, 1958, Ron married Marge Banas, who preceded him in death in November 1993. He later married Phyllis Hietala on April 8, 1995. Ron was an avid Green Bay Packers fan who loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and trail riding, and especially cherished time spent up north in Florence with family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife, Phyllis; his children, Julie Ann (Jeff) Schroeder and Jim (Bonnie) Gajewski; stepchildren: Sonja Hietala and Dean (Marla) Hietala; grandchildren: Katie (Andrew) Kaminski, Gregg (Rachel) Gajewski, Gina (Quinton) Grzeskowiak; great grandchildren: Luke Seeman, McKenna Kaminski, and Callie Kaminski; step grandchildren: Wyatt Hietala, Sierra (Trevor) Hietala, Sawyer Hietala, and Carter Hietala. He is further survived by a sister, Maria (Dennis) Haughton; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Gajewski; and a brother-in-law, Rudy Alvarado; and several nieces, nephews and other family.
In addition to his first wife Marge and his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Seeman; a step grandson, Noah Hietala; brother, Gary Gajewski; and sister, Janet Alvarado.
Per Ron's wishes, no formal services will be held. Inurnment will take place in Ft. Howard Memorial Park, Green Bay.
Sympathy memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
