Sharon S. Whitman, 83, of Pulaski, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Caraton Commons Assisted Living in De Pere. The daughter of Earl and Reba (Ogden) Braley was born on May 6, 1941, in Hinsdale, IL.

Sharon lived in several places as a child and graduated from Flippin High School in Arkansas. On December 7, 1968, she married Duane Thompson; the couple later divorced. She then married Charles Whitman, Sr. on March 17, 2012. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2023.

In 2003, Sharon moved to the Pulaski area. She was very devout in her faith and was an active member of New Life Church in Pulaski and Graceway Baptist Church in Green Bay.

Survivors include her three children: Gregory Thompson, Tina Thompson, and Holly (Joshua) Gildemeister; six grandchildren: Chelsey, Beth, Elijah, Aaron, Kyle, and Nathan; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Earl and Reba, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Duane Thompson; husband, Charles Whitman Sr.; an infant daughter, Rebecca; a sister, Lorraine (Homer) Porte; and two brothers: Len (Bonnie) Braley and Ron Braley.

Friends are invited to gather with family at Graceway Baptist Church, 1750 Dousman St., Green Bay, on Monday, September 23, from 2-4 p.m. The funeral service will be celebrated at 4 p.m. with Pastor Rick Schulze officiating. Burial will take place in Kunesh Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Caraton Commons for the compassionate care given to Sharon during her time there.
