Vincent P. Solomon, 76, Morgan, died Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at his home. He was born on March 17, 1948, to Steven and Severena Solomon in Oconto Falls. Vince was raised by his mother, grandmother, and his uncle Louie.
Vince grew up in Oconto Falls and graduated from Oconto Falls High School. On August 26, 1972, he married Jacalyn Wesolowski at Ss. Edward & Isidore Church in Flintville. Vince worked at Green Bay Dressed Beef and farmed in his spare time. Eventually, he farmed full time on the homestead in Morgan.
Vince loved being outside and enjoyed deer hunting. He loved to talk about anything farm related. His children loved going on rides when he was hauling cattle out to pasture. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren; he always had candy in his pocket for them. Vince was known to have a lead foot from time to time. He was a longtime member of St. Anthony Parish in Oconto Falls.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jacalyn; seven children: Darla Solomon, Charlene Solomon, Shelly Solomon, Vincent Jr. (Kari) Solomon, Derek Solomon, Kristie (Corey) Dworshok, and Janeen (Robert) Heyrman; nine grandchildren: Ryland, Lylah, Branson, Brayson, Brixson, Rebecka, Cameron, Brinley, and Maverick; sisters-in-law: Geraldine (Dwight) Reed, Diane (David) Schwartz, and Kathy Wesolowski; brother-in-law, Alan Wesolowski (fiancé, Mary); and nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Solomon; his grandma, Marian Wisneski; uncle, Louie Wisneski; his in-laws, Norbert and Antoinette Wesolowski; and a brother-in-law, Randall Wesolowski.
Friends are invited to gather at St. Anthony Church, 253 N. Franklin St., Oconto Falls, on Friday, May 10, from 9-11:00 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Walter Stumpf presiding. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
